A Teaching Tradition Joins a Massage Tradition
My mother's a teacher. If you had told me in college, that eventually, I would become a teacher too, I would've laughed out loud.
However, now that I do teach, the thrill of deepening my knowledge of a singular subject matter, i.e., massage, is incomparable. At SpaNomad, we're enamored not only with powerful massage techniques, but also with the Spirit of massage.
You know when you hear a brilliant piece of music that moves you? I think part of that stirring comes from the Spirit of the music...the energy that all the musicians put into the piece, their heart and soul, so to speak.
SpaNomad massage training strives to strike a balance between the technical areas of importance: hand placement, stance, anatomy... with the energetic areas of importance: intent, full engagement, and the Spirit of the massage.
We travel the world of massage, studying with native practitioners and learning the culture, the history, the evolution of a massage technique. As a student of massage, you get more than another massage technique for your toolbox. You join a living tradition of massage.
