Trip to India: December 18 Post 1

For me, I’m imagining and experiencing India as a lavish, creative respite, a respite from all things ordinary, mundane, and practical. From the cultivated gardens, to the goddesses walking around me in womanly form. From the Indian head massages to the culinary delights. A lavish, creative respite I’ve found here. Not only on the outside in everything I see, but now inside of me as well.
Finding the resources, the strength, the discipline to create my own big Life here full of happy encounters, brilliant flashes of mastery and a generous human spirit has been my dream SpaNomad Adventure.
This adventure has been the start of something more.
I met another Italian person today — thus being twice blessed! (my comment from a past post). He and his Australian girlfriend are here for 5 1/2 months touring, exploring and growing.
I see that happening for me and my family. Much thanks must go to my incredible husband, Jeff and my two little boys, Raptor and Panther, for graciously making this trip possible for their working mom.
So, here’s to India, its honking motorcycles, it’s myriad possibilities, and its open arms.
I can’t wait to come back and the Indian head massages and face massages have lived up to my fantasies of how life changing this trip would be for me.
Off to Delhi I go tonight and then boarding a plane back to Santa Fe!
Thanks for taking this journey with me and stay tuned for post-India reflections.
Namaste,
Laurie

Oh, Raz, at the CyberCafe opposite the Israeli eatery, is very gracious and has the best rates in town if you get to know him (20 rupees for 1 hour). Can’t be beat! Tell him I said, “Hello” if you’re ever in Pushkar.
